Sue Honan - Your art is amazing, you have such an ability to bring out the beauty in whatever you photograph. May God bless you as you step back and breathe. It’s good to take some time for yourself. It will only help your art in the long run if you do. I think you are wise to take a break now and then, just to get your soul restored. I read once that artists are more sensitive to their environments, which helps them interpret it to the rest of us, but that can also mean over-stimulation too.
